I think that something is wrong from viewing the youtube. Left side only. Personnally, would be checking leak down and prolly pulling the water pump to check the impeller. That was nasty sounding.

Well I put a good 1500 miles on my ZZR already, it still seems to be riding fine...

But I got some more questions.

Does your guy's frame get really hot? Like I mean damn hot like the top of a oven.

And I can't figure out what the hell this loud *** clicking noise is, I heard the stock headers have a valve flap of some sort that makes noise, but nothing can be THIS loud or annoying.

And as far as power or wheelies go, do any of you guys ever do anything?

I can be in 1st gear and floor it and my front wont lift up, it will just take off really fast.. 2nd gear is a dog and does bassically almost the same thing.

I have to actually rev up to around 9k and drop the clutch to get the front end to lift up, but then I have to let right off it.

I don't know, but I'm just real paranoid.

Mine does the same thing as yours.... it's not that loud...... it also runs hot at the same temps as yours..... This guys tapping is what a real problem is like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55I33Rj-qqMMine is no were like this.... mine goes away after I rev up.... I'm going to check if my friends 2006 ZZR600 makes the same noise as mine..... If that is the case then it's just the way these engines sound....
Yeah, that's a problem...

Mine doesn't change when I rev up or anything, just does it randomly, lightly, but enough to hear..

I'm pretty sure it's a valve flap that's in the headers.

I am game on learning what that is for sure. A valve flap in the headers? Or is that just a term for a weak spring?

The YouTube is not my bike.... this is some random guy I found when I thought my tick is a valve problem.... the tick that we have is nothing major.... The YouTube has comments that might give you any insight what the Youtube problem was

Your told that the ticking noise on your bike is the actual flap or the one in the YouTube video???? It looks to me that the one in YouTube is the actual flap????
