Tire help
I'm not asking for the "best tire out there" I'm just wondering how I should go about selecting one. I know what I want but not sure how that translates into the tire numbers, specs., etc. I took the # off of my tire and they are 120/65ZR17 (56w) but when I've been looking for tires and choose model yata yata "they" say I"m suppose to have a 120/60 and I'm not sure which is the correct. Now to what I want, I want a sport touring (harder rubber tire) but I'm not sure how that's notated (written in the tire #). I'm not going to the track (we don't have one here in BFE) so i just want something that will last and wear well. Any sites y'all perfer would be nice.
Thanks everybody in advance!!!

RE: Tire help
I got the new Metzler M3s. Great tire. It is rated one of the best, overall a great tire for touring or sport. They grip better then my dunlopswhen they were new. Dunlop is still a great tire. Also look at the bridgestone battleaxe Ithink it is called. That is what my dad has on his Kawi.

RE: Tire help
I run dunlop qualifiers on mine, and I love them athough they don't last forever. Kohburn has some tires that are actually harder in the center for longer wear, and softer on the outsides for good cornering. It sounds like the best of both worlds. I don't remember the make but you should ask about those. Good luck.

I'd stick with the size you have on there. As for what you're looking for, I'm not sure........Try takeing a look at some of the manufacturer's info on line, and see what you think. I've only had Michelin's and Dunlop's on my bike, so I don't have enough experiance to give you a good answer. Sorry 'bout that.
