If yes, what did you do to plug the gaping hole that is bound to be left?

I think the passenger handles look kinda cool on there!! Not sure what you would put in place of holes? Maybe a carriage bolt, so it has a smooth head, and paint it to match bike color?

I like mine.
Looks neat and very usefull when i need to tie down small grocery list on the home from work.
Maybe you should keep and remove them and stock cowls, buy a solo seat race cowl and have it painted to match the bike..
Then switch it back when you want to take a weekend cruze with a passenger on the back or etc...

Took mine off... Temporarily using a bit of Vinyl sticker and some bolts. Haven't figured out a more permanent solution yet.

I only ever have female passengers and I'd much rather have them holding on to me than the handles

If you're really trying to show them a good time, have them put their arms around you and their hands on the gas tank. It puts them in a better location and posture to take the twisties aggressively.

I don't think I'll be hauling anyone for a long while. I'd get rid of those handles if there was some sort of hole cover. Let me know if you find a good solution, ok?

Hmmmmmmm !

I just might have to check this thing out without the handles.
Looks cleaner.
maybe I can make neat little hook at the bolt and trick polished aluminum something at the empty hole at the front.
Ideas rolling through my head now !
Looks great without the ZZR stickers and better without those handles probly....
Hmmmmmmm !

I have seen filler pieces for them somewhere, but I don't know where to get them off-hand. I believe they made them for the 12R as well. Let you know what I find.
