Cool stuff. I did the one in Ohio with the StarBoyz in 04 (me thinks) on my at the time 03 GSXR1000. Very cool school, they teach to clutch up since it can be done at any rev and more controlled. We started on CBR600 with bars to clutch up in first then second gear. Once that was done we switch back to our bikes and practiced from there then added shifting and at the end of the day standing. By this point I was too physically exhausted to continue. They also took they track any chance they got, it was worth the price just to watch them all day long !
They were excellent teachers and were extremely patient and understanding, very humble for such kick a$$ riders.

I too have began to do wheelies on my 06 636. I do stand up power wheelies in first gear. I feel more comfortable doing stand up thatn i do sit down.I want to know if my stock bike will come up in second without having to pop the clutch?Ive tried to shift from first to second while standing up but it always hits neutral.Bout all my fellow riders can ride wheelies for a long time.and well since I can only do it in first,I run out of rpm's.Any suggestions?

hmm, know your ride and your setups balance points. Think about it. If you stand up, weight is shifted forwards. Do the squat routine from gym class. If your are caught in a wheelie thru a corner what would you do? Balance points. So maintaining your ride and your balance points does wonders.

FYI: I have heard/ learnedif you ride long wheelies on the 636's or are at 12 o'clock position a long time, oil will get in the airbox breather tube and work it's way into the cylinder causing (hydrolock)catastrophic engine failure; i.e. broken connecting rod, crankcase damage etc. I know of this problem with the GSXR's.

It could be a problem, but high speed wheelies don't affect it as much because you aren't really at a high balance point. The slow wheelies are what seems to be the problem, but not that much really. There are a lot of pro stunters rocking the 636s now, and there are a lot of opinions on fixxes for this possable problem. Some guys just run a 1/2 quart low. That was a problem on the TLs that could be solve by running less than normal oil levels. Never new anyone to blow those motors either.
If you go to some of the stunt specific forums, there are whole threads pertaining to that.
