RE: Wheelie School!
For those of you that want to learn, check all the "how to's" on pages like Stuntlife.com, StuntRide.com, and Starboyz.com. The Starboyz have a good wheelie school from what I understand, never been to it though.
My next suggestions is wear your gear...seen too many knuckleheads bust their *** in jeans and t-shirts...looks like it hurts!
Also, cover the rear brake. If you feel like you are going to go over and you let off the throttle and come back down, you aren't at the balance point. It's just a little past that, and you will need the rear brake to bring you down! Also it's good to learn so if you start slowing down your wheelies, you can actually control your balance with the rear brake instead of the throttle. Believe it or not, but at slow speeds you have better control that way.
If you can, find an empty lot to practice in. Or better yet, find someone who has a big enough lot that you can practive in with permission!! Cops don't really like people who practice on the street. And of course, if you are trespassing, that can be bad also! But in a lot, you are away from cars and people. Sometimes the cops will understand that you at least took it off the street and won't give you a ticket...but they usually make you leave.
And above all else, practice, practice, practice! If you guys road race, you understand that the more you practice, the better you get. I have a friend who started stunting about a year ago. He goes out between 4 & 6 days per week, for no less than 4 hours per night. He does circle wheelies, highchairs, stoppies to about 75 feet, and can ride BP (balance point) on demand at about 5 mph...not pro, but not bad!

RE: Wheelie School!
my advice is to start with a small dirt bike for 500 bucks and transfer it later after you perfect it on the throw down bike . Even bicycles are a great way to pratice balance .

Yeah, dirt bikes are a good tool to learn wheelies on!
The hard part is that you are never as high as you feel...most people chicken out way before balance point...I do!!!
If you have a bar on your bike, you can get a feel for where the bp is easily. Just set the bike up at 12 and climb on...you can then see about where you should be at bp...here's me (drunk as hell at my b-day party) on mine sitting in my driveway...
