Lowered Wheelies.....
Hey guys, Im getting ready to drop my bike a little bit with a Yana Shiki link set. I dont know what it is goin to drop it because it varies from bike to bike. Theres not really a purpose either besides looks, and I was wondering if the drop will effect riding wheelies or even getting the bike to pull up. If so would a sprocket change counter that? Thanks for any replies they are much appreciated.

i wanted to drop mine 2in but i found out that it makes your bike handle totally different and may make cornering a little harder. i think im just gonna drop the shocks instead.
it might take more to pull it up but not enough to change a sprocket.

i personally lowered my 05 636 at factory hieght very easy to wheelie, lowerd mine about 1 and a half all the way around. still can wheelie just a little tougher. handling is great no problems there. wouldnt bother changing sprockets just clutch it up a little more

I am leaning towards just setting up your sag numbers first. But if you like the looks of a dropped ride, expect your riding to change as mentioned above.

it is a lil harder for wheelies when your bike is lowered and it does effect the handling. Thats why alot of people in florida lower their bikes because they dont have all the curvy roads like we do up here in ny.

my bike hates wheelies. its low as hell, and unless i'm on rough cement, she won't come up. the problem is tho that your landings are harder cuz you've lost that cushion from your stock ride height. my plastic drags in corners on any daywith just my little *** on it...clutchin it up would just BURY the plastic into the ground when setting it back down..
F' that!!
