zx-6r 1/4 mile
I'm kind of new to the sportbike scene, so i was wondering what a bone stock 600 should do in the quarter. My dad races a pro mod kawasaki and i just stopped racing motocross so i know what's going on, but i dont have a clue what a 600 should do. I've been down the quarter mile four times, with a best of 10.81 @ 128. Is that in the ball park? I would like to get in the low 10's before i step over to a dragbike. Would lowering the back and strapping the front as well as regearing it get me there?

RE: zx-6r 1/4 mile
10.8 sounds good for bone stock. My husband drag races his 2003 636 and his best time is 10.49. That is with strapping the front, a full Arata system and a Power Commander. He is a big guy too, 6' 210 lbs. We just ordered some swingam extensions for his bike and we will probably be adding NOS soon. There are smaller guys putting down 10.3 with the same mods as my husbands. Hope that helps.

i ran a 10.8's pretty consistant w my 636 w exhaust and -1 sprocket. didnt get to run it enough to get the feel before it was stolen and totalled. if you want a street bike to take to track, get a zx14. wouldnt have it any other way. im runnin 6.30's w exahust and lowered in 1/8th. havent ran 1/4 yet.
