RE: Speed Wobble
don't get me wrong, I have gone fast, but i always make sure i'm on a good smooth clear road and can see a good distance ahead of me.
that guy went down at around 95 mph/150ish kph. which isn't fast by sport bike standards, but something went wrong

That shows why you need a steering dampner!

The damper on my 10 saved my *** pretty good a few days ago. Was trying to over take traffic on an uphill merge lane and ran out of merge lane very suddenly. The merge lane ends into grass at the apex of the incline. I ended up gapping a corner of the grassy area and touched back down in the right lane. The second the bike was on the ground again I got the worst tank slapping ever. The Ohlins damper made it right again but I almost grazed the door of a car in the left lane. That whole thing was more scary then the actual crash I had back in Feb. If I were on my 9 (minus the damper) I would have pinned that car for sure. That had potential to be fatal.
Needless to say I have a damper coming in for my 9. *LOL*

RE: Speed Wobble
True, a damper may have helped in his setup conditions (whatever that may have been). And true, a slapper is not pleasant at any speed. Sad to see that two people died.
