I agree. I was not involved.
However - Lake Shore Drive - where most of that was filmed - is 5 lanes across each direction. A line of bikes were up in the front and a line of bikes were in the back, essentially creating a rolling roadblock inside which the stunters could do their thing. The cars you saw inside the box were film crew. About as controlled an environment as you could get on LSD without shutting the entire street down.
