Got the bike after the dealer rebuilt the rear shock. Then tore into it... plastics seat n strap gas tank air box lid exhaust system carb kickstand sensor rear fender assembly horn were all removed.

Started with modifying the header, grinding out the internal weldbead impeading the flow and matched the header I.d. With the cylinder exhaust port. You can see the mismatch. And when your working with 18 mind blowing hp every bit of efficiency counts.

Finished strengthening the header since I ground out the internal weld bead. The video wouldn’t load up so , here’s a pic of the rear fender eliminator, the fmf exhaust system is installed but stilll trying to find a power bomb or megabomb header. Installed the dynojet carb kit 2206 but need a 38 pilot jet to omplete that. Cleaned up the wiring to the rear fender, the horn, radiator sensor, and the loom over the cyl head.

Currently waiting on drc oversized foot pegs, a trail tech rear rack, pro taper cr-hi bars, 38 pilot jet, aluminum 3/16” plate material to fab up a skidplate. Working on shaving the seat foam down for a height challenged female rider.
Getting a GPR stabilizer ( I asked for a Scotts tho) and will be getting a weld on tower to make that work out.

The seat foam shave worked better with a black n Decker surform hand tool than the air tool with a large sanding disc on my seat. I’ll go back n redo that later. Stapling the cover would have been way easier if I had set the pan n cover out in the sun but reattaching the cover turned out pretty smooth

Made a horn relocation mount
Hid it in a less con****uous spot. Looked like it was thrown on last minute on the assembly line.
Cut off unnecessary tabs/mts and guides
Needing matte black paint
Ground the stops on the kickstand and tab. For more ground clearance and just to look a little less foo foo.
Installed the pro taper contour bars. But. The pad held the brake line from moving freely, so I hrew that hideous bar pad into the spare parts box. Fugly. Had to bend the clutch lever a touch. The clutch perch was on the rise bend due to the control pods being so wide. No prob on my bike with the renthals, not an issue it works tho.

I told my friend when she goes to sell the bike that the sweet new chain guard would make the sale! I know that making such large scale weight deductions is going to make it 15 mph faster too!

Found this scavenging the fittings for the ims tank. Makes one wonder if the wire clamps were overlooked or what.
Got the dual lights installed.
I know led lights work , the lights offered now a days are impressive. It works drawing less watts than the halogens.
They weight about the same. The finned auminum housing on the led lights only looks lightweight.
Got some stuff done since last Wednesday. 38 pilot jet should be here tomorrow
