FS: (VT) 1997 BMW M3 $7k OBO!
I know this isn't a Kawasaki Sale, but I need to sell it to pay for my new Kawasaki
Here's my CL ad:
Well the time has come to sell my BMW... I've owned it for a year... I go through cars quickly apparently? ha
The BMW has 189K miles on it. I've only put on about 10k miles since owning it.
I've replaced the entire cooling system (waterpump, coolant hoses, heatercore, radiator, thermostat) have a spare radiator (backup radiator)... would not recommend using it for longer then needed. have a spare coolant tank and coolant sensor (tells you to check the coolant level everytime you turn the car off) I've replaced many more parts on the car:
-all brakes have been replaced (cross-drilled/slotted rotors with ceramic front pads, oem type pads in the rear)
-moonroof assembly (could use some work though... but at least it doesn't leak)
-4 new rims/tires... tires have about 75% tread remaining.
-religiously change the oil (I use 10W60 ELF fully synthetic) changed it 3 times since owning it
-installed H&R Sport springs (lowers the car about .25" in the rear and .75" in the front... Roughly)
-New Battery
-spare lower control arms (lower ball joint on driverside is almost out
-Could use a couple tie rod ends (cheap $30/pair)
I've dumped over $2k in parts easily, and plenty of hours went into making the car run/drive.
NO RUST ON THE CAR! NONE... BEST car i've ever worked on... so simple.
I paid $6k for it,
I would like to see $7500. BUT I am WILLING to negotiate on the price
The bmw also has an AA Gen II catback exhaust, and another set of rims (RARE) 18" staggered Hamann Motorsport PG1's with excellent front tires, rears are shot... Those rims were $1350/EA new... they do need work, but are WELL worth the price of restoring them ($200/rim was quoted in a place down in Mass)... I would of had them fixed, but my money went into the bmw itself, not just a set of awesome rims. (knock off $800 if you don't want the hamann's...) we can figure something out.

Feel free to browse all the pictures... there's tons of pictures of all the work i've done on the car in the past 8 months.
For a 12 year old car, this thing is FAST and A LOT of fun. I will be happy to setup test RIDES if you're seriously interested.
