I do have strong french blood in me. my middle name is Trezevant and that name can be traced way back to Napoleonic times, so said my granny.

(I was afraid of this.)

If you diagram French versus English, you'll see that the "Noun Verb Adverb" of the English language gets re-arranged in French. They often put the verb first, and then the noun at the end of a sentence, or something otherwise unfamiliar to English-speakers. The French are certainly not unique in this, but it makes learning their language "unnatural" to us Yanks. Most Americans seem to have enough trouble speaking their own, native language.......(much less writing it.)
