Sorry to hear about the bird. Try getting a re-manufactured engine from Jasper. I had one put in my first IROC-Z when it 'screwed the pooch'.

Or, look for a mid 90's Buick Roadmaster or Chevrolet wagon, they all had the LT-1 motor in them.

i was showing off and had it at 100+ in a desolate neighborhood with only a few houses in it, got home and it was ticking... shut it down and about 10 mins later i went to take it back out and it wouldnt crank...

im def gonna garage it over the winter cus its useless in the snow anyway. im gonna put the cadillac in the shop and get it all pretty, replace the heater fans, get the brakes done, paint it and throw it on the road. then come spring im gonna go to the betly chevy down town that sells and installs new chevy engines... i wonder what the new zr1 goes for

and good news on the familys behalf...

my mom just got a complny car compliments of the teamsters (woot!) ill post pics and a thread bout it later, but all i can say now is its rurlly nice and she basically just gave me her jeep. her exact words were "ill probabilly never drive that box again, might as well see someone enjoy it..."

ive driven it for about 20hrs now and its already half brown and im going back out tomorrow

im not to depresed about the bird... i try not to let things like that get me down because even though it blows *** i know that i still have it a **** load beter than alot of people (knocks on wood) how many 16 year old kids can say, well i killed my bird racing but i can still just drive my antique cadillac instead.. oh and my moms company car caused her to basically give me her jeep wrangler.:P
