Default Uh oh...

As many of you know, I am mere inches from picking up a cherry 98 ZX9 from a co-worker for a song. However... today I went to Chicago Cycle and they had TWO 96-2000 ZX7s. Yes - both were way overpriced, as CCC usually does, but - I made the mistake of sitting on them.

To make matters worse - I found an 02 ZX7 on Craigslist for just a couple hundred more than than I would pay for the 9 after getting home, and it appears to be in very good condition as well and has 13k on the ticker.

Dillemmas....

Help me Obi Won Muzzy...

What do I do??? :S

I am seriously very torn on this decision.

I will be looking at the 7 tomorrow or saturday, and I need to make a choice. The money is in-hand.

The 7 is so much fun to ride and of course is my first love, but the 9 is a great bike and this one is absolutely cherry.

GAH! :S

atleast with the 9 you know the owner and it seems from what you have said he has taken care of it. you dont know what you are getting with the 7s at all, especially the dealership 7s. ive ridden the 7 and owned the 9, you will fall in love with the 9, its a great bike. i really miss mine. you have owned the 7, been there done that, try the 9, you can always get another 7 after the 9 later on if you still want a 7. just my opinion.

I agree with fury! I know how much you love the 7 - but give the 9 a chance, you don't really have all that much to lose.

Good luck!

7 if your going to use it for the track and 9 if the street. like FoG said about knowing some history about the 9 and knowing nothing about the 7s is a plus too.

I personally like the biger bikes for the streeet. Liter baby, maybe you should go sit on a new 10R and see what Dillemmas that causes.

I did... I wasn't too impressed. Maybe a ride will change my mind on that - but just sitting on it, I didn't much care for it.
