Okay, well, it looks like if this is going to happen, someone is going to have to get the ball rolling, and I'm always one for jumping in over my head... So here goes!

Sounds like a lot of people are interested in having a get-together, and the common theme is that the people are more important than the riding, so if you can ride out, great, but that is by no means a requirement. Since it'll be summer, there's a ton of things that we could do. Camping near some sort of body of water is always high on my list...

As for location, since people are so spread out, if this ever becomes an anual thing I'd imagine the location would migrate over time to allow those that don't want to travel far to get involved. So, as someone suggested in the other thread, I'd like everyone that's interested to post:

Location - What city are you from?
Distance - How far are you willing to travel for the get-together (in miles)?

Once we get this, we'll know if it's even worth trying to do the GT at all. My hunch is that we'll likely get a couple mini-GT's going, which would be better than none at all...

i'm still down for the g.t.... and i know this might be a along ride for some... and taking the plane to the location is cool... but as for myself i'll do the ride.... cause once we're all together i'm sure there will be a few of us on bikes... and riding as a group would be great... sooo keep in mind if people fly, and we do go out as a group ride there will be some that would have to double up, but i don't think that would be a problem.... jmo.....

Y'all have to come up to the big NY..... camping grounds......hotel accomodations.... my house ....whatever!.. just pitch in for beer and some burgers and we're good to go

 

i got an idea for the guys on the west coast... and maybe some of you guys on the east coast could do the same thing.... two of us in the west coast could rent acouple of uhaul p/u truck with trailers for the bikes.... lets say me for up north and notstock for down south... gerg could ride down and we could p/u lemac and meet notstock somewhere in the middle of cali... and he could p/u who ever is close to him and meet up at the same place... then we just haul both trucks with the bikes to the meeting place for the G.T.... that way it won't be so hard of a ride..... and we could split the coast of the truck.... what do you guys think?
