It hit 103 yesterday in Seattle. It was 93 here in Forks. I dent KOMO an e-mail this morning telling them that they are consistently off by almost 15 degrees here. They need to get their readings from Forks not down by the ocean. (Rolling eyes)

Deej, do you have AC in your house? It is miserable without that man. A lot of people in this area do not have it because it's only hot for a couple of weeks each summer.

Florida was once a Coral Reef under da Ocean...will it be again You Betcha. Anything we can do about it.....well ADAPT AND SURVIVE would be my recommendation....this ain't Star Trek.

The whole concept of Man Made Global Warming is akin to Two Fleas on a Dog Arguing about Who Owns the Dog.

How's dat.
sorry mullet but I cant let this go unchallenged.

You relate global warming to two fleas on a dog? I'm assuming you mean the dog is earth and we are the two flees. Well in that scenario I would have to agree with you two people on the earth could NOT contribute to the earth pollution and deterioration.

Let me try to relate this to you using your same concept. A dog covered in fleas, all biting him, trying to suck the last bit of blood out of him would indeed cause him to bite and scratch himself to the the point of self mutilation. IE GLOBAL WARMING. 90% of all scientist agree we are causing global warming just like those same scientist agree we have evolved into human and not created. Do you have a problem with evolution too?

Feel free to respond but this forum is not the place for me to discuss this further. I just couldnt let you sneak that one past me.

Well I shouldn't say anything but, I think we are close to the point of no return with polluting the earth, and it is mans doing. And it is irreversable!

Most of the global warming hype has come from the media and I've had a real eye opener with the media these past few years to the point where I don't believe a F'kn thing they say. The media tards are complete and total idiots, constantly spinning their "reports" and pushing their own "beliefs" and agendas and calling it "news." What they spew out of the televisions and newspapers should be called brain washing instead.

As for warming, I think most scientists believe it is real, but the verdict is still out on whether it is being caused by human activities. However, the cyclic warming and cooling of the earth is a geologic fact that is undisputed. Further, the running joke in the physics department when I was in grad schools goes something like this: "When you get your B.S. degree, you know everything. When you get your M.S., you realize that you don't know everything and have a lot to learn. And when you get your PhD, you realize that not only don't you know anything, neither does anyone else."

There is a lot of truth the the above "joke" and I would put it to you that most of these so called experts are simply making best guesses with the information they have, which at best is incomplete so it is mostly conjecture based off incomplete models. Remember, it wasn't too long ago that only a few radicals proposed that the earth was round and orbited the sun instead of flat and at the center of the universe. Turns out 99% of the "scientists" of the time were wrong about that. So just becuase "90%" of anyone believes something, does not make it so.

Personally, I don't know the answer, but I think planetary climate processes are far more complex than anyone really knows. To boil it down and say, yep, that 0.1 degree temperature rise is definitely being caused by people, I would question that and ask, "How do you know?" Personally, I think human activity is probably pretty small. I'm not saying it is not having any significant affect, I just don't know. I would imagine just one volcanic eruption would release more gas and dirt and dust into the air than most cities or even countries. Again, I don't know, but I've learned to heavily distrust ANYTHING reported through the media. Or Al Gore.

Just my $0.02. Not trying to answer for FM, I'm sure he will chime in when he docks the skiff.

Challange all you want, I could not think of a better place to discuss it....it's Off Topic

btw....I have not sneaked anything since I was a wee kid.

You should read and try to take in what NoBrakes posted....the more ya know the more you realize the less you know.

But for fun I'll show you a couple historical charts and let you dismiss them.

See this is a long term geological temperature chart based upon Ice Cores...hmm notice our current temp is actually kinda average over 1000s of years.....notice at the beginning of the chart we are getting out of the last ice age......look even farther back and it was waaaaay hotter hence florida is a coral reef above water now...get it.

But if you want we can look at an Al Gore chart that just looks at the last 100 years or so.....pick your data set.

Oh and as far as ALL these scientists supporting Man Made Global Warming....did they write all the Ice Age Articles of the 70s....media hype makes money, don't be a fool and contribute.
