Default Spent too much money today!

In fact, I've spent too much money this week. Started out with the Playstation 3. Then today, I ordered a Sony Bravia60" SXRD 1080P television! About to order an Onkyo receiver too. WOW, I'm gonna be poor for a while.

Man, you don't hold back. I know our 46" Bravia XBR set us back a pretty penny. 60" Damn! I bet that thing looks sharp!

hahaha, I called sony direct. They already were offering this TV for $500 off the regular price. Then the sony rep said he found a $100 off eCoupon, but he couldn't get it to work.[:@] But after waiting on the phone for another 5 minutes, he came back and said he was able to apply a $300 off eCoupon!!![8D] Freakin' awesome! The TV ended up being under $2K with free shipping!

Mark - reconsider your Onkyo... consider a Harman Kardon AVR 645 or 745.

Any reason? (Personal preference?) I did a lot of research, and found the Onkyo TX-SR705 to be the most attractive option. I want to have HDMI v1.3 since the new TV will support it. Many receivers in the $600-$800 range don't seem to support this yet. All the reviews I have read on the Onkyo have been largely positive also.

The Onkyo will also upconvert to 1080P via HDMI.
