My parents used to have a miniature dachsund, and a cat. The dachsund caught way more mice, even caught moles and voles out in the yard. He was a tough little bastard.

We've got three cats. They are pretty much useless except for laser pointer entertainment. The only think they seem interested in chasing is a glowing red dot.
