Sorry but I'm really pumped about my ride yesterday! Put on a 150 km (93 miles)! It was really hot here the other day and I haven't been out in a while due to rain, painting my house etc... So jumped on the bike and headed for the ocean. It was an awesome ride, I really got to see how my 500 handles on a fairly twisty road. I'm still smiling from ear to ear

glas to hear you finally went out on a ride...a long one too at that...boy do I miss the ocean. Hopefully your weather is kind to you so you can get out and enjoy that bike alot more!!

All of my other trips out were fairly short, at most they were half the miles of Sunday's trip. So far the weather is supposed to be pretty good, we have some really humid weather right now and apparently they predict that this summer is supposed to be a pretty warm one. So I'll keep my fingers crossed. I have the worst case of perma-grin right now!

The next time I head out towards the ocean, I'll take my camera and get some pics for ya!

 

Congrats on what sounds like a great ride! I kfnow the grin that you're talking about. I've got just under 200 miles on my bike (all put on in about 3 days over a weekend), and I still can't wipe the grin off my face. And I'm still breaking it in!!! Twisties are indeed where it's at.

I'd love to head out towards the water out here.. Unfortunately there's a bit of highway between here and there. Soon though, soon.

Yup, I still remember my first ride by myself! I smiled that entire week. Now, it's not so great, but I'm sure after I replace my ex with a new riding buddy, I'll get it back.

 

What got you into bikes in the first place?

I was always interested in bikes cause my dad has had them but last fall a buddy of mine took me for a rip on his bike (Yamaha something). I had a blast and thought that I'd like to get my own someday. Came across the 500 and got a wicked deal on it, so I got that in December. Took the bike course towards the end of April and got my license in May.

I am so glad that my friend took me for that drive
