leathers or t-shirt?
some previous posts got me thinking about this - obviously what we put on while riding very much depends on the weather, but lets say the temperature is in high 80's or low 90's (around 30 deg Celsius) - what do you guys do? Safety or comfort first?
Looking out the window right now - will be riding this afternoon and I can tell I will suffer, lol. Always wear my gear thou, the idea of scraping tarmac having nothing but T-shirt on isn't very appealing [:'(].

RE: leathers or t-shirt?
I found a happy medium to this problem. I just got my JoeRocket Rio mesh jacket, and it is absolutely great for the heat! Since it's mesh, you can pretty much see through it, and it breathes very easy. It has really thick armor in all the right places also. Best thing is that I bought it for only $25 at www.newenough.com They are clearancing it off from $100.

I noticed that within the past week most of the popular sizes have been sold out. For the price alone, you can't beat this deal!

i have a perforated leather twp piece suit works pretty good and I too would rather sweat than bleed. When it hits 100 I will switch to my mesh jacket but the perf leather is not bad in the 90's

RE: leathers or t-shirt?
allways leather jacket but just purchased the icon armor so when its hot as hell like it has been, the icon field armoe vest and elbow gards with a hood ie sweatshirt or long sleeve shirt to act as a sun blocker. i geared up like this with my buddys armor and dfamm it was nice to get the air on you fully while still having a good amount of protection. youll never be as protected as having leathers and ce armor but gear up as best as you can. dress for the crash, not the ride or the weather.
or just ride necked

RE: leathers or t-shirt?
I rode in a t-shirt once a few week ago on the way home from work when it was above 90. I felt naked and will always wear my mesh w/armour in the summer. It's not the road rash that hurts its the scubbing at the hospital!
