Yeah but the guy doing the stuff for Ralph Machio was Ry Cooder I think.

Anyone see Crossroads back in the 80's? Steve Vai vs. the Karate Kid:

Thanks very much for sharing that. That just changed my mood for the betterimmensely. I oncehappened to be walking by Eric Johnson's tour bus in New Orleans just as he was getting off of it for a show, I think at the House of Blues. They make a nice little trio there.

Enjoy yourself up there in the Northwest. I miss it.

And thanks again.

if you guys like progressive metal / neoclassical, you gotta check out paul gilbert. he's jammed many a time with satch and vai and the guys, and imo is one of
THE best guitarist ever.. him , and jason becker.. all instrumental, and very classical based.. very good riding music as well..

kinda like "cliffs of dover" from eric johnson.. theres an inspirational song for riding...

theres a ton of insane guitarist out there that are major influences to me, but paul gilbert is king.. just SO fast and technical, and clean.. it's unreal.

if you like sach and those guys, or even malsteen for that mtter, you'll def love p.g....
