Default I really hate snow!

So the wife and I and another couple went to Victoria Canada this past weekend, and when we got back there was a foot of snow. The road up to work has been nearly impossible to get up. And to top that off she had a dentist appointment we didn't want to cancel in Port Angeles over an hour away. Fortunately our car has brand new studded snow tires, and let me tell you, I will never go without them for winter driving from here on out. They were close to $600.00 but the studs look brand new even into this second season. The studs seem to feed themselves as they wear. Anyway here are some pictures from Western Washington. Feel free to turn this into a "show me your snow pictures" thread.

Out the front window at home.

Tuesday afternoon when we got back from the 3 hour round trip in the car, I decided to see if I could get up to work.

Not bad, the tires were able to get traction even though I hate these tires on my work truck.

I had to submit that real fast as the power flickered several times. I will not be surprised if we lose power here today.

Anyway continuing.

Only about 25% of the snow is off the roof, and look how much is on the ground!

I was down town and someone with a backhoe was cleaning the grocery store parking lot, I had him drop a couple scoops of frozen snow into the back for traction.

Anyway mid week the work truck even with the weight in the back and 4 wheel drive just couldn't make it up the hill, so I jumped in the real truck DA DODGE!

On the way to work I see this old guy shoveling snow, this guy is tough as nails, He flew B-17 bombers in WWII and 2 years ago he fell and broke his neck, and now he's out there in this, they sure dont make them like that anymore.

My truck did so much better.

The county really dropped the ball all across the area, Monday was a holiday but they should have been out keeping this stuff off the roads. On a side note I think I have talked the University into letting me buy a snowplow for the truck, we'll see.

Well that's it, and like I said before feel free to throw up some more to add to this as the official 2012 snow reports thread.

Nice pics deej, hopefully you did not run over the old timer while you were taking pictures! lol

You should have used the dodge in the first place if you did not trust your work trucks tires.

It snowed here yesterday, but it was just fine powder and should not stay long.

Nice pics, Deejer. I'm a chain guy in the snow; all 4 wheels. Keep 'em in the Rover all year, as they can come in handy if in the muddy stuff. You do live in a beautiful part of the country, but I tend to agree, as we get older, snow is a PITA. Last year we got pounded, but this year hardly anything. Fine with me.
Be careful out there....

We only had about 6 inches over here, but today its getting a nice layer of freezing rain. To make it worse, my buddy from Yuma keeps calling and rubbing my nose in it.

Loved it, but I'm sick like that-
We had 20 inches and no power for 4 1/2 days, had the generator turning and burning. went out and drove just for fun
