I remember back in the mid 90's when the internet was just becoming popular and people always wondered who to make the check out to for internet service and asked do I make that out to the Internet.

hmm never experienced that. but i was big on the bulletin boards back when you had to dial in to specific locations before everything became interlaced

Heck yeah. never had to put the handset on the modem though. Never had to use punch cards either.

I remember the first computer we had was a Tandy that you had to hook up to the back of your TV. and you had to write your own programs to play games on it.
