Odie Odie! You will really like the Ultra. I will have to admit, it is the bomb for long trips, and taking chicks for a ride, and that is the only time i ride mine. On the road there is nothing like it! The rumble and the comfort kind of just go together on an Ultra. It is kind of weird though, because when you stop at a light, it shakes and gives you a massage, but on the road it is smooth as a moles ***!
Some say Gold wings are better but only if like riding 900 pound plastic sewing machines.

 

i had a goldwing buzz by the other day and i thought it was an electric car...don't they know load pipes save lives??? After comparing the Ultra to the King...the Utra won out...right now they are having a blow out for the 09s...they won't let you walk out unless you have keys in hand

 

our long trips will be like 2000+ one way...

 

Yeah, the 09's are better bikes than the previous years, they dont shake as much, and have a much stiffer frame. You will like it. Now all you need is a doo rag, assless chaps, and some finger gloves. DG needs tight leather pants, and a lowwwww cut tank top. And judging by all of the Harley people around here, you will be much cooler for the rest of your life

I heard that with the 09 the exhaust was repositioned under the frame instead of cookin the riders...

 

I thought cooking the riders is why all the cloths come off!
