mornin hoes

did a little 22 mile hike this weekend. muscles a little stiff today but not too bad.

hell yeah thats pretty cool,, my boss and his wife is all into that.. there gettin ready to go to the grand canyon and hike all the way to the bottom

it was about 3 miles walking around historic harpers ferry, wv the first morning then 3 miles on the trail in the afternoon before setting up camp near a spring, the next day we hiked up to the ridge of the appalachain mountains. there are no springs at the top so we had to cover a lot of distance to get water for the day and the next morning. covered about 15 miles including one trip down the side of the hill and back up to and from a spring. then another 4 miles the last morning.

no blisters, but the ball of my foot has a bruise from the pounding ti took going down some steep rocky slopes with the 35# pack (a new low weight for me, used to hike with a 60# pack)

yeah, and we were planning on starting earlier and ending later and doing 35 miles but i got sick the night before and threw up that morning so decided to make it a shorter trip. probably a good thing we did because i think only half the guys would have been able to make it without being in really bad condition at the end.
