Just tell him to stay strong and not to fear the outcome whichever way it goes, and to stay focused on getting back to everyday life.Thewhy me attitude will just bring him down and make him weaker in his fight.

+1 Great advice hokie. I know a lot of the stuff in here hasnt helped you much dv, but we are here for you. When I was growing up, my mom survived the worst case of pancreatitis the doctor's had ever seen. The doctors even told my dad to prepare us for her passing. My dad took off months of work to stay with her in the ICU, until she finally recovered. Its very rough on a family and I'll be thinking about you and your family.
Best of luck dv, and never give up. The doctors told my mom she was a miracle, I can only hope you will have your own.

I was told twice that they had done all they could and I bounced back each time. Not all of us will make it through the ordeal and it's always lingering in the back of my mind about it coming back, just stay positive and keep the support strong.

It took me a yr to get SSI disability and struggled with $ everyday but things have a way of working out if you stay positive.I'm not saying things will go always as planned but it seems worse than it is.We tend to look at the little thing like tv,internet and phone as must haves but guess whatt we don't need them.I sold alot of my toyz to live on and just bought new when things got better.

You know, sometimes it takes someone who has actually been through it to give someone advice to make them able to see what we think we need and what we actually need. But you know, you are right about the telephone and tv. I rarely use my cell phone, except when I ride my motorcycle. I do like to have it on me then because I like to just ride in random. Just go anywhere that looks peaceful. Thank you.
