Default Happiest kid in So-Cal today!

This is Vincent my son; our neighbor gave him a pocket bike that had not worked for about six months on Friday.

Friday night we removed and cleaned the carb and sparkplug. Saturday morning Vincent got up and put everything back on the bike.

Well it started but it was running full throttle and he had a football game to be at. Playoffs for Lakewood Pop Warner, we lost this one.

Sunday morning he removed the throttle and cable. With a little help from me we fixed it and the little bike runs good. Has float problem and leaks a little gas but only drops.

Here are some pics of the happy little guy, he is 11 years old and this was his first experience on a gas powered bike. Has been on some go karts a few times but that was it. It was so great to watch him and give him some instruction. We went to a elementary school parking lot and I set up some make shift corner cones. I had to try it too.

I swear this has to be one of the best days ever.

Ahhh! Nice... Looks like your kid has more sense than you... slippers, shorts and no helmet eh? Squidding it in style! Just don't take that thing on the highway dressed like that... Well, at least until you get that gas leak fixed.

Sounds like you're teaching him to wrench his own bike as well as ride it... Right on! He put it all back together and removed the throttle cable by himself? Very nice.. Very nice indeed.

Yea he likes wrenching for sure he has helped me change the jetting on my R1 about 5 times while we were trying to get it tuned perfectly. Pics of him installing the new needles and reattaching the dreaded throttle cable.

Yea the thongs were not setting a very good example but I had to try it!
