Gas Prices About To Sky-Rocket?
As of now, the average price per gallon of gas is about $2.85 where I live. I type this because I just saw a headline that says oil prices just hit $78 a barrel. I'm sure it all has to do the damn Israel-Lebanon conflict. I just bet anything that tomorrow gas prices will be at least $3.30+. The oil companies have become very predictable over the last few years. It's amazing how a news article here and there can make such a big impact over what they decide they want charge for the price of fuel on that particular day. They jack up the prices really high, high enough that everyone starts complaining about it. Then, after a day or two, the fuel cost will drop about one tenth of what they raised it, and everyone is happy it fell 2 cents. But it's still 20 cents higher than two days ago!
honestly, even though I don't like paying so much for gas, I wouldn't feel so f****d over if the oil companies would raise their price only to keep within a reasonable profit margin, and not just to pray off people's fears. It's very unethical what they're doing, but I guess these companies will do anything for an extra buck, or MORE![sm=icon_flaming.gif]

RE: Gas Prices About To Sky-Rocket?
Gas prices are f'n ridiculous!!! There is a refinery right here in the city that I work in. Gas is generally 4 cents a litre more in the city than it is where I live (about a 30 minute drive away!) One would think that it would be a lot cheaper in the city where it is actually refined!
One somewhat nice thing that has happened here is that the provincial government is regulating the gas prices. Every two weeks they set a maximum price that can be charged for gas, there is no minimum price. They were trying to control wildly fluctuating prices. Nothing more irritating than driving by the gas station in the morning and figuring - ah, I'll get gas on my way home, then you go to get gas after work and its up 7 cents more than it was in the morning.
Oh well, thats just the way it is these days - too many hands in the cookie jar. Just gotta grin and bear it, as much as it SUCKS!!!!!

I think it's about the same here for premium too. I bet you can't wait to look back on this post a year from now and remember when gas 'only' cost $3.20 per gallon!
