RE: E BAY ? about buying bikes.
Good questions. I am an avid Ebayer. Buyer and seller. That's what my mom does for a living.... Anyway, the buyer is pretty well protected. Make sure the seller has good feedback. Don't just check the score, read the comments. A lot of times a seller can have a 100% positive feedback, but if you read the comments, people will post positive and leave not so good feedback. They do that as a fear of getting a negative themselves. If you settle on a bike, see if it is possible to give a Paypal deposit, say 10% or $200 - 300 dollars, and then remainder in person, or upon delivery/inspection. If bike does not live up to ecpectations or to product description, the most you will be out temporarily is the deposit. An excellent bike on there, around the 250cc class, are the vision motorcycles. It's a Honda rebel 250cc motor, they are brand new, they are chromed out, come with a 1 year warranty, and you can get it delivered for around $2,000.00 I had 2 friends buy this bike, and they are pretty awesome. There is an Ebay store, who is a power seller and square trade verified, who sells these. I've sold many cars and old bikes on Ebay, as well as puchased 2 cars. All transactions went perfect. What if you gave a deposit at the dealer, they did not have the bike, and had to order in, only for you to get a used piece of crap. What would you do?? Everyone has that fear on Ebay. I would definately pay by Paypal. If the product does not work, arrive as expected, etc, Paypal will refund your money quick. If you need more info, or a link to those vision bikes, let me know, and I can get it for you...

RE: E BAY ? about buying bikes.
I had purchased my 2000 ZX9R from and e-Bay seller and all went smooth. The seller was honest about any issues that the bike had and I walked away with a good deal.
I would ask alot of questions on any problems that the bike may have, and also make sure that the seller has a good e-Bay reputation.
Hope this helps...
