Damn the luck..
so here i was about two weeks ago at a shop getting tires put on my 2000 zx7r.. no problem right.. i saw that the mechanic put it on the lift, wondered about that... checked on the bike about 30 min later and they were getting to the front... saw the mechanic on phone outside of the work area, he just started to run and then i heard the crash... asked one of the guys to see how bad it was, he came back mumbled about a mirror and walked off.. thought i got lucky... the mechanic comes to the waiting area and motions for me to come back... as i rounded the corner, all i thought was what the ****..
they stood the bike up, which had fallen from the lift about 30 inches.. i was upset, but did not get all bent out of shape, hell it happened and now i just wanted to know how we would solve the problem... i started a list which included everything cosmetic on the left side, the upper, gas tank, clutch lever, inst. bracket, rear sub, mirror, and windscreen... so the GM comes out and starts taking the windscreen off and i ask what he's doing to which he replies "getting the bike so you can get home"... my reply "the bike is not leaving the shop and one of you is giving me a ride home" he settles for that... so the parts come in and was to be ready to be picked up today.. got there and the bike was naked and the lower was for a 2001 zx.. they tried to belittle my knowledge of bikes and said that the bike had the wrong plastic to start... i was now starting to get pissed, i figured hell, how much for the other lower and i might buy it...400 bucks.. nope, not doing that.. i told them to do the research about the graphic on the 2000 'cause the computer was wrong.. i figure that if they are going to stick to their guns on the lower, i might as well get a paint job put on.. green of course..
so, i am asking this... were they that lazy to bend over to get the tires off with front and rear stand... has anyone else had tires changed this way.. this was my first time to see this.. also, if i do the paint job, what are the best green options out there.. i have seen the pic of "ukswrath" and think this is a real sweet green... paint or powdercoat.. thanks Joby

RE: Damn the luck..
when i was younger, i would have just walked out onto the showroom floor and kicked one of theirs over, but i guess now i am somewhat passive... i might have handled it different if i was there to witness it... but it happened, so now i will get new parts.. and the 100 dollar job just cost them about 2600 bucks..

RE: Damn the luck..
You handled that well and "DO NOT TAKE ANY SH*T FROM THE DEALER" I hate the fu*king dealers they will always try to slide one by you if you do not stay on them.
I have seen them do the tier changes up on the lifts as well, I have never seen one fall though.
Good job.
