A few years ago, I had a Ford Festiva that I named "steve mcqueen the dent machine" That car was awsome! All the dents really gave it a "speedy" edge over other "rival" Festivas. I actually beat my friends saturn once, he never hears the end of it either!

Here are some of the things I put that car through. They are:

a: went off-roading in it

B: went mudding in it

c: drove it into four feet of water while in a flood and seized up the engine

d: bought another festiva to swap the engine and all the interior. brought "steve mcqueen the dent machine" back to life

e: burned off the old tires, put new tires on for $17.95 per tire at walmart

f: burned up those tires

g: slid into a curb on the ice and bent the frame, blew out my walmart tire and bent the wheel. bought new wheel for $5.00, and another $17 walmart tire

h: sold it for a hundred bucks to some sucker after the transmission started to slip.


ah, the memories! I wish I still had the dent machine! It was a piece of s**t that wouldn't ever die!

i thought about doing the v8 conversion too. ton of work involved in that but worth it in the end, sucks though for a v8 there not putting alot of power down. i think it was like 250hp out of a 5.0 [&:] when all said and done ill have 300 to the wheels out of my 2.0 and its not even going to be a wild non streetable motor.

 

i feel bad for u guys in that heat but lets be positive ur tires will stick like glue LOL it not bad in detroit were around 80 and rainy but it is going to be in the 90 this weekend i heard and with the humidity we get down here it will feel like 140 but who cares just ride faster to cool off there is a reaction for every action wow i feel pretty smart right now.i have to add i love that fiesta story that car sounds like a warrior it deserves to be told on this forum[sm=badbadbad.gif][sm=badbadbad.gif]

 

If that's all that it put out, I don't know why (BUDGET??)

I have a 5.0 347 Stroker motor with nitrous that puts out 475HP on the motor, 660HP on the bottle in my mustang. You could build a 408/425 351W with over 800HP just on motor and squeeze it in there if you wanted. A turbo or the bottle and you could get over 1000HP easy!!

Even with a mild 5.0 I would've expected at least 375HP if not 400.

 

i was impressed with the fab work, but not the outcome. i think it was kagle customs that did the first v8 focus. the kit alone, minus a motor and a rear axle was somewhere in the 20 grand range. i could be wrong but it was rediculously priced and i think since came down alot in price. mabey 10 or 15 grand. if im spending that much on a kit, i want a minimum of 500 hp !
