ohhhh sucks sorry to here that..... at any rate if you need stitches you should probably get'em... if you don't it could lead to infection and possibly a nasty lookin scar.... if you're squimish of needles or don't want those ugly lookin stitches on your face for a few weeks, try getting some stari-strips.... they will hold the wound closed so you can heal faster and with less scarring....
