You can't go wrong with Amsoil dude! Mobile synthetic is good as well. I am not sure if the kind of oil is as critical in 2 strokes since it just burns up in the combustion process. I think the mix ratio is probably just as important as the oil itself. But quality oil could never hurt. Again, you cant go wrong with Amsoil or Mobile synthetic.

I have not tryed a two smoke amsoil yet. I did try a couple of the others but pretty much stayed with the yamalube in the end.

Well, as high as a 2 stroke will rev, you have to think that synthetic oil might prevent a little bit of top end wear over a long period of time. But is it worth the price you pay for the oil? I mean it normally doesn't cost all that much just to take the jug off and replace the piston and rings on a 2 stroke. I guess it just depends on how picky you are with your bike. I have seen no data on how much longer it would last just because of the oil you use. Probably not much if I was to guess! 2 cycle oil never gets the chance to break down like 4 stroke oil. It goes in fresh, and get's burned up!

yeah pretty much. it only needs a thin coat on the cylinder and a bit on the crank but thats really it, and it is constantly replaced (w/ a clean running bike) so as long as its gummed up knock off stuff its fine
