i am going to look at a 85' 900 ninja, this sunday, theres 22k on it, it runs but needs a battery and a tank(i am not looking to purchase a new one, wheres the best place to pick one up cheap)(also what year is compatible, amd what modelS), is there anything i should look at, this will be my first bike, and it would be a summer project for me and some buds. the reason i am picking up such a big bike for a starter is that i am picking it uip for 450 so i figured it was a decent deal.

is there link to what to look at when purchasing a 900 paticurally the early ninjas?

dam man go with a newer bike. who knows if you can still find parts for that thing. check ebay and the cycle barn website.
