got a 2000 zx9r that seems 2 have just the slightest hesitation between twisting the grip and accelerating especialy steady speed to hard acceleration. Not much just enough to notice not as crisp as the same year zx6r i used to have is this normal for this bike or is something wrong? thanks 4 any info

Welcome to KF

Although I am not too familiar with your new ride or the 6r that you mentioned.
If you turn the choke up just a bit, will that make a diff in finding out your question/answer?

thanks for the welcome. not sure if might be a jetting problem, the bike has a nice D&D full system pipe but not sure(bought it that way) if it has a jet kit. It happens when i goose it or if i dip the clutch to raise revs and let it out fast just kinda bogs 4 1/2 a second then accelerates strong mabe i just got spoiled on my old Vfr with feul injection. this 1's more fun though. to cold to try the choke thing expecting snow 2morrow

If you suspect a jetting prob, do a plug chop. The choke idea was to richen things which are more noticeable from idle and mid. Works well for wet riding. I wouldalso thinka .5mm shim under your needles with the choke back to normal would be a good try.
