Very glad to see a bunch of the old school zx7s still around on here Before long I hope to add another to the group... really looking to get into another 93-95, but may go with a 96+ if I can't find one in decent shape.

All I can say is wow! Did not realize how the ZX 7's have led a following. This is cool. I have a ZX 7, a 1990 hoover tube. Placing it back on the street now so will not have any pics until I finish. I also was thinking about body work updates and a previous post mentioned that possibility. I did not see any other possibilities mentioned online until that post. Anyhows, this ride is of course a 1990 h2. Has a .5mm overbore, degreed/slotted cams, muzzy ti & carbon exhaust, braided front lines with race tech and fox components. I planned on getting it back to the street color of Black (the color I bought it new in 1990). So any info you guys can give me in turning this putt putt back into a street bike would be appreciated.

very nice ride to have... and you bought it new!! damn... i like that.... you'll be shocked as to how many young pups will ask you what it is... all they know now a days is zx6r, 600rr, r6's and the like... what you have there is a collection item son...

hell, seeing all the first generation bikes out there makes me want to get another one.... real bad.... awww, **** it.... i'm on the hunt now....

Yeah, the putt putts are ruling! Chuckle. But to be honest, in 6th gear was clocked at 176mph with the stock exhaust. 5th gear in Portland was 156. Have to admit that these putt putts can move and are nice to play with. Thanks guys for your involvement in the dinosaurs.
