I have a 1999 zx 7r. Want to put a jet kit on, but have to wait to get the $$ together to have someone do it. To chicken to try myself. Anyone done that before? no pic yet, sorry!

if you really want to try for a new tail, find someone with a zx7r and see if it will fit... you might have to modify it though to make it work... i did that a long time ago with an 86 gsxr and put a 92 front end and 95 racing tail with few mods... it was cool... until it got squashed between two cars with me on it...
maybe even try a zx6 tail..

either would be fine i would say.. the remote start would be cool, but i would think it would only work well if the bike was still pretty warm.... i would probably go for the one with the pager... i have seen some that have a range of up to a quarter mile range for the pager..

the only thing i dont like about it is the old school square back.. it just makes it look so .... old... i mean im not embarrassed about it i just wish i had my old bike lol.. would a newer tail fit on a 90? or anyone know of a site that makes different ones to fit? look at this ugly thing
Easily fixed. Tails up through 92 will bolt straight on. I believe it was changed for 91 from the square back. You will need a tail-light assembly and rear seat to complete the job right. Not 100% sure, but I believe even the latching for the seat is same, despite the design difference for the seating.
