hey guys, my 1998 zx7r wont start sometimes when i hit the ignition switch. i do hear the ignition click at the juction box, but wont kick over at all. then sometimes i can hit the juction box (fuse box), and it will kick over like there is something loose or shorted. any help would be appreciated.

 

I don't have an answer here, but I've got a 98 too and sometimes when I hit the button I won't get anything. I'm like "Oh No..." but then I try again and it's there for me...weird that you have a similar problem!

 

my 95 zx6r seems to do something like this on ocassion. The relay seems to be fine. the closest i can figure is that there is a dead spot on the started motor where it doesn't have a good connection

 

I have a 96 that does this everytime i found that if i unhook the relay sits next to the fuse box (4wires) it works fine then i just hook it back up this fuse controls the fuel pump?and headlights? i think. Im not sure why it works yet but it does

 

Comes down to the good connection it seems.

 

Regarding the pressing the button and it not doing anything.
