ZZR600 1994 running problem
I've recently bought a 94 zzr600 CA import, to get it back on the road only cost me £320.00 got it through MOT and i am able to take it for a ride, but it is not running right, the problem is in 4th,5th,6th gear the bike struggles to rev over 5000 rpm, low rpm is fine and in the first three gears it runs fine as it should up to 14000 rpm it flies!! soon as I put it in 4th the bogging starts !! anyone out there got any ideas as to the problem ????

Welcome to KF and congrats on the new ride.
Do a quick inspection for a dirty air filter/poorly sealed, loose or cracked carb boots, fuel tap being clean and the fuel line clear. The basics, then go from there. Let us know how things work out.

Running prob.
Hi there,
everythings in order with the fuel lines etc, but surely if there was a problem with fueling and air why would the bike run fine in 1,2,3 gears, thats what I can't get my head around, could the prob be with the spark plugs/coils ??? in 4,5,6 gears the engine would be under more load ???? In 3rd at 14000 rpm I'm doing about 85 mph then changing up to 4th the bike starts being unresponsive and speed wil drop until revs are around 5000 but I can feel the bike wanting to go but just does'nt get there, its weird.
