RE: ZX6R....(comfortable for 50mi trek?)
Ya, the first few long rides I did I had to learn how to hold the throttle, so my wrist wouldn't bother me.

50 miles that is it. Hell that sounds like a tease. Week end rides should be at least 2 tanks full of gas. I have no prob but I am 6'1" an dmy arms are 2' long from front of shoulder to center of palm. Should be no prob. It might be a little sore the first couple of times bu you will be having to much fun to feel it.....

50 miles is a good ride, I am6'3" and it is not great on the shoulders/neck for me. I sit up and strech when I come up to slow parts or stop signs. I am 20 though, so I guess it would be a little different. I don't think I could do a lot of the rides I do if it weren't for the stretching.

HAHAHA, age has nothing to do with it. I believe that the 6r and my 10r are similar.
Cruised straight thru to Seattle roughly 12hr ride, Vegas roughly 7 hr ride with breaks for fuel. Hamstrings were sore but nothing a hot shower would not cure. You should be fine after setting your suspension.
