I don't think that they bored out the cylinders. Two millimeters is only like eighty thousandths.

Are you talking abour the 665? If they didn't, they probably stroked it by offset grinding the crank. I guess that would be good because they don't have bore& replate the cylinders. They have to bore the cylinders if it's any bigger than 68mm/ stock. Stroking gives more torque; horsepower also.Do you know how much they stroked it by?

I have been talking about this with my girl friend father. He has been building turbo bikes for 25 years, and he thinks we can turbo the 636 for that should bring about 215HP safely. I keep telling him that I don't make have that kind of money, but he is determined. We'll have to see what he comes up with. I just wanted to know the least expensive way to stroke the engine. Lol.

Bill, (my girl friends father) has nailed down the first couple piece for his turbo 636 project, a Garrett GT-15 turbo it aparently can be had for 700 bones (I'll find out from where). Which is a good turbo for displacements up to 1300cc it spools up fast. I am calling it his project because I have told him that I don't have the cash to do it, but I will let everyone else in on what he finds out.

If you put this Turbo 636 together, we'll be reading about it in Cycle World too![8D]Make sure to reinforce the other components to handle all those extra 100 horses; especially the clutch and the Drive Chain. Might have to step up to a 530 or even a 630 chain. May have to grow some serious [8D][8D]'s to ride that thing too! LOL.

Cansomeone make me/ send me a copy of that article in Cycle World of the 665 build up. My buddy had the mag but tossed it before I could read it.
