i have an 07 zx6r and i raced a stock 01 CBR f4i and from a stop that thing just killed me and then from a 40mph roll it pulled about 3bikes on me and stayed there... i've got the 2 bros exhaust and powercommander.. whats wrong?

 

I'd say maybe the CBR got a better launch off the line. Did you do clutchless upshifts?

 

All rider . . . could be the F4 had a sproket change . . .

 

rider and probably a nice tune on the f4i, i bet a full exhaust with power commander and sprokets

just because you have the newest bike doesn't mean it will always win, power difference between newer bikes and bikes of 5 years ago aren't very different, maybe 5-10% difference at most, and an older bike with some nice mods will embarass an 07 with just slip-ons

my buddy has an '03 954 and only a full scorpian exhaust with power commander and runs a 9.98 in the quarter, that's on par with a new R1 and GSX-R1000, if he mods it a little more it would make that new 11g bike look rather pathetic

 

+1 ^. My poor old 1979 CB750K, with a stroked 100F engine, head work, tuned/jetted carbs, aluminum wheels, and custom exhaust will eat most from red light to red light.

As far as the 07, it doesn't have as much low end as the older 600. Unless he had gearing and other mods, it had to be rider skill; I had an 03F4i and My 03 636 will kill it anytime at any speed.

Its not rider skill... the F4i has a Yoshi slip on and nothing else.. i went with him to buy it and the guy told him ya its a torqy bike! well when we switched and i road his bike and he road mine, i beat my bike on his by at least 6 bike lenghts... makes me want to go to garett and get that turbo kit or go to the zx10r

 

Hmm sounds odd... I've riden my friends 01 F4i that is not a bike I would call "torqy" It had no ***** until he did a +2 sprocket change now it has some pull but my stock 2000 ZX6R would walk on that thing and my 06 ZX6R well he doesn't really bother any more.

 

they got a garrett turbo kit for the Zx6r's???? where do i find such kit?
