I think you may have switched your vacuum lines from the tank to the carbs or the fuel petcock diaphragm is ruptured, dumping fuel in from the carb vacuum line. try disconnecting the vacuum line that goes from the tank to the carb/ intake boot. see if fuel is coming out of it. Try strarting the bike with it disconnected and check for fuel again.

It may not have anything to do with your oil change or you not disconnecting any lines. It just failed and by coincidence happens to be after your oil change. It is also possible that your float valve is stuck open. Try what Evil636 suggested with draining the float bowl. Check that vacuum hose from the tank to the carbs. It causes suction on the diapragm which allows fuel to flow to the float bowls. If the diapragm is ruptured, it'll dump fuel in the cylinder of the one with the vacuum hose attached. You can also check your plugs to see which cylinder is running rich.

That's wierd that it wouldn't start because of thicker oil; doesn't make sense withe the backfiring and flames in the tailpipe. I still think that you may have had something stuck in one of the float seats that was keeping it open and now got freed.
