I am still surprised that you can power your bike up so easily. I tried sitting as far back as I could and just gassed it, and nothing happened except me going really fast. I only weight 170 so I guess the extra junk in the trunk helps.
Whatcha gonna do with all that junk.

Anyways, The bike will not do it every time. It's almost as if it is weather related or amount/type of gas... I dunno. It likes to catch me off guard. [sm=yikesomg.gif]

LOL, yeah I guess that would catch a person off guard. I know it would me. I bet one reason I can't do it here is because of the altitude. You are probably pretty close to sea level where as the altitude here is 3500 and up. And if you can only do it sometimes, then I will probably not be able to reduplicate it here at all.

you will be able too if you get a powercomander and get it dyno tuned... no oxygen + too much fuel = no HP

I wonder if that thinner air is causing your bike to run a little rich. I am only 800ft above sea level and the air is clean, crisp, and dense. On colder nights the air is very dense, so you have more mass per volume of air and the bike will lean out a little and absolutely rip. I am waiting for a below 60 degree night to go back to the track and rip off a low 11 1/4 mile.

I have been wondering if my bike is running rich as well. I bought the bike here in Montana so I am not sure if they tune them to the environment they sell them in. My guess would be probably not. Since I have put the Two Bros on when I go in the mountains the bike will backfire a bit (not all the time but sometimes). So I am thinking I should probably do what ryniger said and put a powercomander in and get the bike tuned for my altitude.

merdox, get in first gear and go up to around 10k, then let off the throttle then snap it, if it doesn't go skyward, then the bike has issues b/c I know a stock 636 can power wheelie 2nd at around 80mph. if you start your accel from too low in the rpms then the bike gets too much momentium to go skyward.
