Default RE: What I Learned About My Bike Today

Well, I rode the thing all the way back from Hillsboro, OR to Spanaway, WA -- 150 ish miles and it was pretty much all highway. I get to my buddies house that I was keeping it at and was like, "You wanna see me take it for a pass?" He was like "Cool, sure." What I wanted to do was a 0-60 run. Well, I burned through 1st gear, did the same to 2nd, but I popped 3rd gear at such high RPMs that it sent me into an instant wheelie... so much that my undertail exhaust was scraping. I panicked and my feet slipped off the pegs, which left me hanging on the handlebars, which left me ripping on the throttle some more. Eventually my left foot caught on the right side of the bike and sent me slamming down on my left side. Like a moron, I hung on to the bike because I thought I could stop it, but I started to feel my skin come off of my arm and leg, so I bailed. Bike skidded, slammed into a speed bump, flipped a couple times, went into a ditch. I was wearing a t-shirt, jeans, over the ankle boots, helmet, and gloves. Road rash sucks, so I'm not going anywhere without a jacket or pants on from now on.
