weird noise that goes when clutch pulled? help
hey there guys just need a little info on what i might have done, i installed a bunch of leds and wired them off one of the rear lights on a seperate switch, and did the jumper mod. im getting an almost light friction sound when i let the clutch out in neutral but it goes away when i pull the clutch in. the wiring is good and switch is working, even with the jumper pulled out for the mod it still is happening. any ideas? how would the wiring affect my clutch?

its not the wiring affecting your clutch, it should be a whole seperate issue. Clutch is mechanical, wiring is electrical, 2 seperate spectrums. i would pull your clutch cover and check the plates and steels for any abnormal wear and tear, breaks, and debris in the basket maybe.. all the jumper mod does is convert your ecu over to the european ecu and gives you higher revs, shouldnt affect your mechanics.

thanks for the advice but dont you think its strange that it just started after i did these mods? i thought maybe i didnt notice it before but i can feel that little bit of friction threw the clutch lever. maybe its just bad luck.

my bike makes a small chatter and when i hold the clutch it goes away. my eagle talon use to do that to, i thinks its normal, i thinks its probably the cam chain tensioner and when you hit the clutch it tightens up and the noise goes away.

You should oil your cables regularly. They make a specific oil or lube for this. It helps prolong the life of the cables. That would be my guess. (I imagine that some posters are saying "WTF".......GOOGLE IT!)
