just got 300 miles on my new 06 rig, and whenever i go up higher in the rpms, a weird noise like kind of scraping happens but only for a second, it seems like if im up at 8k rpms, it will come, the noise, and go away after i get a little bit higher. it doesnt really happen in any other part of the revs but it seems like when i hear it, i shift up and the noise goes away, could anyone tell me if this is a bad noise, or if its just stuff in the engine starting to seat, thanks for any help.

 

wow, wtf ? go run it at the rpm that the noise starts and put your finger on the clutch lever and see if it goes away. then post back what happens.

 

alright ill go out for a ride right quick haha, and ill try to think about what the noise reminds me of, be right back.

 

do the clutch lever thing and let me know if it sounds more like a harmonic buzzing or a humm.

 

its like a harmonic buzz, or a vibration and its from 8k to 9k rpms, its a weird noise, i hope i didnt f uck up the breakin in of my ride, i havent kept it under 4000 rpms. tell me what you think it is,

 

i dont know if i should go to the stealership and ask, cause then they will probably void the warranty you know...??

 

i think your motors about to go man. damm it. you should of stayed under 4000 rpm's now what are you going to do ? once it buzzes, they know it was reved out so automatically your warranty is voided
