valve adjusting

RE: valve adjusting
Thanks guys I read some other forums and I started to doubt that they needed to be adjusted at 1st service of 600 miles. We all know what the dealer charges for that service and we all know what has to be done.

My dealer told me straight out that the 600 mile service is nothing more than an oil change, fluid check, and checking for loose bolts. Also, a dealer does not have to do the service to suffice the warranty. Some dealers tell their customers the warranty will be voided if they don't do the first service. I hate shady dealers. [:@]
I wouldn't worry about the valves for at least 10,000 miles. Unless you start hearing them tap real hard. Which is tough to tell on these 636's with that huge ram air opening in front echoing all the engine noise to the rider.

You can buy up to a 4 year continuance on the manufacture’s warrantee straight from Kawasaki anytime during the first year. When getting warranty work done just provide proof of maintenance like oil and filter receipts.
