I have a zx-7r so wheeling is a PITA anyways, but when i clutch it up, do i need to apply throttle as soon as the clutch ingages to bring it up?

i just learned a few days ago but i would have to say yes lets say your in 2end and your at like 6 or 7 accelerate so the weight goes to the back then clutch in about a quarter than gas and hold at a nice rev then let the clutch engage and try to lean back a little,
I will tell you now the fear is what f*&% the wheelie up so just play with it untill that one day when you get the hair up your a&^ and let it rise i swear its like it comes up so fast and then it starts falling into the ballence point once you get into the b/p for the first time you will have a new understanding, ohh yea im sorry if this going to far im not sure what your asking.

why is it a pita to wheelie a zx7r

for starters the bike weighs 450 lbs. and it is extremely front heavy. The 7 was more of a track replica bike. It has a slipper clutch, but from the factory its so tight you won't notice it at all. you actually have to remove the clutch and readjust it to make the "slipper" part work better. but with so much wieght forward, power wheelies pretty much don't exist with stock sprockets(i will be changing them this summer). I've got a full exhaust, jetkit and k&n air filter so Its making the power. The only clutch wheelies i've tried is rolling in first gear about 10-15 mph in first, rev it up to i'd say 8-9k and drop the clutch. It launches like a bitch and brings up the front tire about a foot or so. I guess i'm wondering if when the clutch engages should I give it more throttle at that point to continue to bring it up, or should I hold a steady throttle and just raise the rpms before i engage the clutch.

I've read that clutching a 2nd gear on stock sprockets on the 7 is damn near impossible. Im not really looking to ride a wheelie for a while at the BP, I just like having the front end come up to show off here and again, but I would like it to come a little higher.
