Two Brothers Exhaust - Noob Question

Two Brothers Exhaust - Noob Question
I have a question about slip ons. I got the Two Brothers Vale twin exhaust slip-on (carbon fiber) and it looks really sweet. I basically got them to improve the sound which, as you all know, is pretty wimpy with the stock exhaust. The guys at the shop said that the pipes don't add any horsepower but the Two Brothers website says that they do.
Does anyone know which is right? And if it does add horsepower, does anyone know how much. Thanks!

RE: Two Brothers Exhaust - Noob Question
I have the two bros on my bike and I beleave it adds 5hp and takes off 8lbs from the bike. When I butt dynoed the bike after installing it I thought it seemed a bit faster. I to would be interested in seeing an actual dyno sheet if anyone had one

RE: Two Brothers Exhaust - Noob Question
Honestly for street use the HP difference is noticable, but it's not night and day. What _IS_ night and day is your ability to turn on that thing without a 45lb muffler strapped to the back of your bike. Any slipon that doesn't resemble the frikkin weight of the stock is worth the money. Safe riding!

RE: Two Brothers Exhaust - Noob Question
Yeah, it might only add a horse power or two, but the difference is noticed by wieghing less and lower the CoG. It mostly affects your power-to-weight ratio, not so much raw horsepower or torque. But keep in mind the more power you get from other addons the more power it will give you. If you add a high flow intake, the exhaust will give you another 1 horsepower. Likewise with the intake... adding exhaust helps it too. When you hear companies advertising 'up to' x horsepower increase, keep in mind that was probably the case because of a bunch of other mods helping it.

RE: Two Brothers Exhaust - Noob Question
You will gain top-end and maybe some midrange HP due to the freer flow but may lose some bottom end due to the exhaust valve elimination. Yes, a PC111 will make up for some lost HP in the bottom end and will gain more mid & top end. like everyone said, The weight savings is a definite advantage along with the better sound & performance. If you get the carbon fiber, it's even less weight.

RE: Two Brothers Exhaust - Noob Question
I was told it adds 7 HP and it takes some wieght off. Good purchase! also make sure you get the power commander it helps it run alot smoother also k&n air filter. all the extra performance parts make it run amazing.

RE: Two Brothers Exhaust - Noob Question
i had my bike cusom dyno mapped, and i did a before and after dyno run, on the mid to top it gave me 4-5 more horses, and 1-2 more torque. when i got arrow race headers, i got another 5 horses cause i got ride of the heavy stock headers with the damn built in catalic converter.
